So, haven't post any WIP since May. I was working some of my gunplas. But now back to buisness. I got the HG 1/144 Gundam Dynames in 7th August 2009. I immediately start WIP once I'm home. Ok, less talk, more pictures.

Head and Neck
As usual, I'll start with the head. Put a polycap in ithe head. Cut the extended pegs.


Body and Waist 1/2
Second we'll take a look at the Rasiel's body. The polycap can't fit in, so I slice some extended parts.




I cut the below part and used Dynames's waist.

Continue.
I'll show the arms and armor shoulder.

Arms
Again I use polycap fill in the arms. The arms wasn't Rasiel, I used Dynames's.
I want it to have more Gundam OO style.


Shoulder Armour
When I closed it in, it doesn't really tight together. So Have to use putty. Cover up those seam lines.

Later I sanded and painted it.

Leg and Foot
Again, I will use Dynames's leg to make Rasiel have more Gundam OO style. I use back Rasiel's foot. Cut one side of the extended peg.


Cut the knee joint peg and put putty on it covering the ugly holes.

One question, do you cement the parts together before sanding it down and using putty?

You sound like you don't, and if you really don't, I would suggest that you follow that method for a smoother finish. Also I would recommend a layer of primer before painting. Primer serves a purpose of helping to fill up small gaps and and having a surface for the paint to stick on better. Currently from what i see, your painted result doesn't really look too good and can be improved.

nice choice of kit for your project... but is it painted already? I guess the parts that had been painted was the HG Dynames right? Cant sure what is it really... :sweat: maybe next time you can post a slightly bigger picture than this one....

Agree with Genosider, prime after you do mods.
otherwise good stuff so far.

mmm..... is that the final painting?? leaving it at that colour? metalic blue painted with gundam markers?? .. i think you should errm re paint.. looks rough

Genosider, Rmahza, yoplox: I only cement some parts. I colour it first later finished built the kit, then I may ues Primer. Which I haven't have one yet. And then repaint all over it again.

surfacer white is white primer but i guess you can use it as white too

Oh!! looking forward to this. Looks like its gonna look really good. I really liked them first generation 00 kit's design.

Me too. The 2nd generation look more mechanical then 3rd generation.
