1/144 Predagoog
Hope this will still qualify for the GB challenge Started this december 08, skull part drilled with holes from 1/144 GP02.
Targeting system from head of GP02 also. Red part is from used plastic spoon this is how i modded the helmet part for easy slide in/out for painting purposes shoulder cannon from actual cannon in the kit. modified to look like plasma caster Replaced tri-cannon with the saber for the claw Plasma caster articulation using WZC minor wing swing arm test fit, my cam got busted during these times. took this with celphone cam. replaced the original kit with the gelgoog marine kit instead since i totally ruined the first one. extended the torso and arms, removed the cockpit hatch. the right shoulder was also taken from GP02 and i added some pla-plate to create a multi layered armor. the spined exia was a really nice touch to the over all look and the other three barbecued gundam heads at the back
Didn't like the way the neck looked, so i modified it by moving it forward. wild experiment for me, but worked out real nice! extended the thigh part by 15mm and modded the feet. but the feet did not make it to the final work. used other parts instead. but the back side remained
Painted the torso by blu-tac masking. rough surface was achieved by dabbing mr surfacer with sponge. washed with black enamel. the front skirt armor was scratch built anskirts were trimmed. side skirts made to look and blend with the front skirt.
Test fit again to check for more improvement installed the netting by brushing PVA glue mixed with water at 50/50 ratio just like how you make paper mache. this did not ruin the paint job in any way since PVA glue dries clear and a bit shiny, the way i like it. the hair is from a girlie necklace. attached smaller wire at the end and inserted this to the drilled skull filled with blu-tack. so much like doing flower arrangements. the polycap on the neck did give way due to the weight and handling. had to screw the head to the chest for a permanent pose
2 days before BAKUC, this dude still didn't have a final set of feet.
ruined the tips of the saber claw when i dipped it in polyurethane. so, instead of clean blades, masked with sparkly green paint to hide the imperfection and made it to look like the "blood" of exia which is composed of GN particles. so i had to color the spine sparkly green too.
And here it is at the event itself. Photos by Sir V2 of MP

Really a unique build!! Simply love this...but somehow I find the proportion a little bit out of balance...just my 2 cents...
Nyway, cool piece and welcome to Zero G!
