kitbash is when u use, merge or combine parts from other kits on the one ur working on.

Not trying to offend you.. i dont really like the shoulder .. i think if u build this OOB will look much better.. and i imagined ur work before.. 1 shielded shoulder and 1 rasiel shoulder ... look realy... Not nice... but i like the buttock ... But the rest its seriously too much.... especially the shoulder..

yoplox: I tape some parts not to be spray. And some of it is hard to put the tip of the markers in those thight space. I haven't finished the kit and so fast imagine it. You still don't know what I gonna do right?

You said u went Time Machine to get yourself a can of surfacer spray. I'm sure u can get Tamiya masking there as well

i recomend using tamiya/mr. hobby bottle paint if u are going to hand paint this guy...and maybe do some masking... ^_^

handpaint use bottle paints and brush. gundam markers are bad...prominent brush strokes from them.

as for canned surfacer, i use them once a while...when i'm lazy to setup my airbrush. but shake it well, mist spray the kit...bout medium heavy. heavy is when it's wet spray i.e. it looks wet surface

canned surfacer is like spam. deliciousness in a can. ya see. the surfacer will be more even when you spray it from a can when you compare it to that which comes from the hand piece

thinned the paint nicely than start painting...
for better result use Mr. Retarter Mild...(have not try it yet)
